If you do not have Outlook 98 or Outlook 2000 please go directly to the next site.

For Outlook 98/2000 users:

In Outlook 97, 2002, 2003, 2007 and 2010 this distinction does not exist.

The mode of installation can be checked in Outlook by way of...

Help => About Microsoft Outlook

The installation mode can be changed by way of...

Tools -> Options -> Mail Services -> "Reconfigure Mail support"

If you are using Outlook 2002, 2003 or 2007 this changing is not necessary. The modes have been unified up to Outlook XP (2002). You don't need to change settings under Outlook 2002, 2003 and 2007.

After changing the settings, the following dialog box is displayed after choosing:

Tools -> Services:

The Public ShareFolder server must be installed on a Workstation that can be used as a "server" or on a "Domain controller" like Windows 2000 / 2003 / 2008 server.

On this workstation or domain controller must be an Outlook installed. This Outlook must be opened at least 1 time. This Outlook PST files of this "server" can be shared with an unlimitedd numbers of users.
