2. Name of the server

Important note:

With "Server" we do not mean a domain controller like the NT or Windows Server® 2003 Server, we mean the Public ShareFolder (POL) program.

The Public ShareFolder server must be installed on a Workstation that can be used as a "server" or on a "Domain controller" like Windows 2000 / 2003 / 2008 server.

On this workstation or domain controller must be an Outlook installed. This Outlook must be opened at least 1 time. This Outlook PST files of this "server" can be shared with an unlimitedd numbers of users. with Public ShareFolder

The following considerations therefore apply:

We assume that your computer network is configured as follows:

Outlook® must be installed and configured on every computer.

Only after Outlook has been installed and configured should you install Public ShareFolder.

Otherwise you will not get a connection.
