FAQs: Public ShareFolder for Microsoft Outlook
Support / FAQ No. 25
Question: Is it possible to hide complete Public Folders with Public Sharefolder?
Answer:
Public ShareFolder hide contents but the structure is always visible. A PST file does not permit to hide folders. It is a technical reason of a PST file. You see the contact folder e.g, but the contacts can be hide.
Subfolder can be hide but the highest folder structure is excluded from this.
TIP: If you liked to have only contacts, calendars and tasks as files, then you can provide a second PST file on the server. This has, as long as you does not make it to a Standard PST, only the folder “Deleted Objects”. Into this additional PST you can create your own folder structure. Then you can connect your clients to this new additional (not standard) PST file.
